When God Sends Grace Your Way

Today was a little emotional.
I am starting to have burning pain in my left tricep area that is worsening daily, and I still feel like I have a tight knot under my armpit with some numbness. I know I just had surgery, but I also expect this is neuropathy from nerves being severed while removing lymph nodes, which is then making me regret letting them take four lymph nodes which was only a 5% risk of spread. I prayed, wept, and verbally released any emotions or unforgiveness I was holding onto to aid in healing. It was interesting how random the emotional let go was on my way to buy a wobble chair for my new office and get some groceries.
But just to show how gracious God was to me today amidst all of this:
- I met two wonderful ladies by the clearance section at Sprouts today. I picked up a supplement and they both asked me a lot of questions about how they can improve their health conditions. We spent over an hour talking about life, things we have gone through, what we are going through now, and sending love, positive energy, and blessings to each other. Debra happens to live in the same city as I and goes to the same gym as I do. Lee is a recent widow and was so grateful for our "girl time" shopping together. Lord, thanks for sending these two to interact with and remind me of why I love what I do and to distract me from the discomfort.
- THEN, my card was not working because of suspected fraudulent activity, and I was over two hours behind meeting this guy because the ladies needed my help and because of the card issue. Got that issue resolved.
- THEN, the guy with the chair was SUPER kind and understanding about me being late. He put the chair in the car for me because of my surgery and he mentioned how his wife is a 3-year breast cancer survivor after having a bilateral mastectomy, chemo, and radiation. I just broke down at that point. He told me their story about how he was also diagnosed with cancer within a week of her and how she is now able to watch their son's tournament and they still have each other. He gave me a hug and was so reassuring. I'm sitting here crying about some pain and a lump/nodes removed when his wife went through SO much more than me. He was kind and could not stress enough the importance of community and faith, which is what got them through and still does. He then connected me with his wife who agreed to reach out to me so we can chat as she has helped many women through this as well. They had a lot of people who went through a battle with cancer and never reached out to anyone. I am doing a zoom interview with Diane next week and she will find other survivors I can interview as well! Thank you, Lord, for Anthony, and Diane!
God methodically placed FOUR people in my path today to shine some light on my day, and for that, I am grateful. #thankyou
